In The Media

In 2005 we hosted “The
Swampers” from the east coast to film a segment for
their DVD “A Salty Season”. It is now available
in our online store. We are proud
of it and thank the guys for coming up on an Alaska Sea Duck
Hunt.

During the 2006 season North
Country River Charter’s Minto Flats hunts were spotlighted
in both Ducks Unlimited Magazine (January / February Issue)
and two different episodes of Larry Csonka’s “North
To Alaska” TV show on the Versus Network.

Tim was honored to guide Bill
Nichol, a DU Magazine Staff Writer, on a three day hunt, as
well as Larry Csonka for a couple of days. Please take a look
and enjoy these shows and articles. Tim’s pup Reed even
got her photo in DU. Tim is a little jealous about that.

Alaska Wildfowl Adventures was created to share some of the most unique and adventurous duck hunting in North America with duck hunting enthusiasts around the world. We specialize in high quality hunts for trophy birds with a low guide to client ratio. You will experience true remoteness during our Minto hunts and visit one of the most beautiful places in Alaska on our Valdez sea duck hunts. These two locations offer fun hunting for either early season ducks and geese, or for a trophy bird of a lifetime.
After a few seasons of waterfowling in Alaska for his personal pleasure, Captain Tim decided this was something he had to share. Four seasons later, Alaska Wildfowl Adventures is going strong. Because of his passion and dedication to the sport, he is also proud to be on the Avery Pro-Staff. We have always used a lot of Avery gear in our hunting and are excited to be part of their team. |

Having years of experience in Alaska waterfowling, Tim has the knowledge required to provide a great hunt every time out. Tim is also an officer for the Fairbanks chapter of Ducks Unlimited, and a proud member of the Avery Pro-Staff. |

Although Brian lives in southern New England, in a little state called Rhode Island, he has proven himself as an Alaskan duck hunter over the last three seasons. Brian is the owner of “The Swampers,” a company producing waterfowl hunting DVDs, and during Dec and Jan he runs his own waterfowl guiding business on the northeast coast for Eider, Scoter and Divers. Brian is also a fully licensed USCG Captain. You can expect his years of sea duck hunting on the east coast and his Alaska knowledge to lead you to successful and fun hunt. Brian is also a member of Avery's Pro-Staff. |

Bill is a long-time Valdez resident and your captain and guide for the ultimate live-aboard waterfowl hunting adventures. Bill’s local knowledge of the waters around Valdez will give you one of the most unique Alaska experiences there is. Bill spends much of his spring, summer, fall, and winter on the waters of Prince William Sound. While not duck hunting, he is guiding for halibut and salmon, or trapping along the shoreline. Bill will put in a 110% effort to make sure you have a fun and successful trip aboard his boat, the “C” Haven.

Our Valdez hunts are designed to offer high quality hunts for each group. We hunt over large spreads of decoys from boat blinds in different areas everyday so we won’t over-pressure the birds. We also limit the amount of hunters at the lodge during the season. In Valdez, we specialize in targeting Harlequin Ducks and Barrow’s Goldeneye, although trophy Old Squaw, Scoter, and Mergansers are commonly harvested. |
