Trip Insurance -
We highly recommend trip insurance due to the weather and unexpected delays of traveling in Alaska. Alaska Wildfowl Adventures cannot be responsible for any trip delays or cancelations before you arrive at our location or on your return trip. We recommend Outdoor Insurance Specialists for your insurance. Click the link above for a instant quote.
Deposits and Refunds
Deposits:
Our repeat clientele often book a year in advance. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to guarantee your dates. Final payment is due in full according to the chart below. Due to the nature of our trips and the advanced planning required, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. If your trip is canceled for any reason, your deposit is forfeited. A deposit will only be refunded if we are able to rebook your hunt dates.
We understand unexpected circumstances, and we will make every effort to rebook your trip dates in order to refund your full deposit. We also encourage you to find someone to take your place.
Final Balance Payment:
Final payment for each trip is due prior to the dates listed in the chart below. Balances remaining after the due date without the written permission of AWA will incur a penalty.
Chart 1: Final Balance Payment Schedule
Valdez Cast & Blast - August 1
Valdez Sea Duck Hunt - October 1
Adak Cast & Blast - August 1
Adak Duck Hunt - October 1
Custom Trips - 5 weeks prior to booked trip dates
Cancellations made after the final payment deadlines (See Chart 1 above):
Due to the nature of our trips, 100% of the trip cost will be forfeited unless the trip is re-sold. In the event of premature departure, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Hunts and Weather
Weather Day? The weather conditions may make it dangerous for some hunting situations, but we will strive to find a hunting possibility. Alaska Wildfowl Adventures has yet to call a weather day in 6 years. Even if we cannot get out in the boat due to unsafe conditions we will be hunting. If you are up to it, we are.
