The Alaska duck
season starts on September 1. We wait until November to hunt sea
ducks in order to ensure optimal plumage. By November our ducks
are in full color and are worthy trophies. If you are looking
for an earlier hunt, either contact us or look into our Minto
Flats hunts. |

Valdez offers amazing wing shooting
in some of the most beautiful scenery in Alaska. During our trips
you will have the opportunity to bag upwards of sixteen species
of ducks and geese. On most trips seven to nine species is very
common.
If you would like to include puddlers (mallards, pintails,
widgeons, teal) and geese in your hunt, we recommend coming
earlier in November. We still have good numbers of mallards
all season, but geese tend to migrate out by mid November. |

We hunt many different locations in
Prince William Sound, from both boat blinds and shore blinds.
The AWA crew is constantly scouting for the best locations to construct blinds
or anchor the boat blind, so hunters can expect to be placed
in a prime location each day. |

For 2008 we are offering two hunt options out of Valdez!
As always we can help you customize your trip for the species of birds you would like to target. Our main hunts target sea ducks, but we can offer quality puddle duck and goose hunts, along with hunts for ptarmigan. Our philosophy has always been that it is your trip and let’s make it happen!

Lodge Based Hunts
Our Classic Valdez Hunt. Lodge based hunts offer all the comforts of home. Your days will begin with a filling hunter’s breakfast before you depart for a full-day hunt in the beautiful Port of Valdez with one of our experienced guides. With only your group of 2-3 hunters on board, you will be out from the opening of shooting time to the close in order to ensure bagging your trophies. Each day you will hunt a different area depending on the species you are targeting. Enjoy a full lunch aboard the boat and when you return in the evenings, explore the quaint town of Valdez while having dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in town. |

Live-Aboard Remote Hunts
New - Let the Adventure Begin!
Are you looking for something a little more adventurous? Well, here it is! Join us on the 35 foot “C Haven” for a three day live-aboard hunting adventure. Visit some remote bays 20 to 70 miles out into Prince William Sound. Hunt during the days from one of our 18 foot sea duck boats equipped with a blind, and come back to the “C Haven” at night to sit and relax in the middle of the beautiful Alaska wilderness. This is a true Alaskan Adventure! |

We are very flexible, and it is your hunt! If there are birds you would like to target everyday, no problem. If you want to stay longer and hunt all of our options, you are always welcome. We can also help you set up other activities in Valdez before and after your trip. If you do not want to be on the water everyday, Tim can give you a tour of the local area.
